First Gear makes a mesh jacket with pads similar to the JR mesh-but 1st gear fits better-less bulk, more function-in my opinion.

Add CBT lites to the list since they seem to have a stiffer sole. Again thanks for the ideas-will keep you posted on my reviews-it's just one guy's opinion-but maybe some usefulness will emerge.

Ya my feet run wide. A stiff sole for being on the pegs is high on the list, combined with functional/flexible stuff - shifting, braking etc.

I'm down to deciding between the Sidi Discovery or the Gaerne Explorer boots. I ride 70% on road and 30% off, very little single track-but hours on the pegs at times. Any suggestions?

I've ridden with BMW heated vests, and Gerbings products are far better, especially with their adjustable temp. control. Pricey, but functional and dependable.
