Fit softer organic pads... the pads will wear much quicker, but won't wear out the disc as quickly and will stop quickly

I prefer Galfer "green" pads myself

There are a few ADVR's who have had a bowl drop...

There are a few ADVR's who have had a bowl drop off.. better safe than sorry.. IIRC, these were all GS's (or G/S's) being ridden off-road when the bowls dropped.

Plus, they only cost about $0.65...

When you tune carbs, you want the highest idle...

When you tune carbs, you want the highest idle possible as adjusted with the mixture screws.

Then to set idle you adjust the idle speed screws.

Like I said, I could easily lock the rear brake on my GS, and I doubt the design is flawed. I only optimized the function of all the moving bits and sanded the pads and drum and adjusted the pedal...
