I remembered that advice when working on a buddy's DR and used a cheap HF heat gun to warm things up prior to going at the inspection plugs. Same result as a ride.

I don't do my oil changes on a lift or mine would end the same way. I just prop it against a wall so it's straight up and pull the plug. Don't even get any on the bash plate most of the time. :norton
