With my 800XC I get a continuous howling sound from the exhaust vicinity that kicks in around 6k rpm. I believe this is a feature of this and similar bikes, although this is my first triple.

Tiger XC at 400 miles, 41mpg

Just ran the bike for 166 miles before a fill-up, and put 4.0 gallons in to refill the tank which gives ~41mg. I have about 400 miles on the bike at the moment.
