8 feet might be a bit much it seems like 70 inches would work. Like the angle iron idea need to source some metal and plate. +1 on the eyebolts.

has capacity of 1000 Lbs. Goes to 43 inches high, has electric over hydraulic.

+ 1 on JB weld used to repair lots of stuff here in AZ! Even several gas tanks never failed or leaked for years!:D Get it clean and mix it up/let it dry and ride!

Get my new Tourances tomarrow! So far new battery all new syn fluids, all thats left is to bleed brakes (ABS servo), and clutch. Put on Tourtech HL and Oil cooler guard.
Bike is fun to work on...
