Seems like Joe has got you on the right track. I am not a pro wrench but work on lots of 70's bikes and have found that you often have to go beyond what you think may be needed even with new parts....

Yup OEM parts. The fiche does not show enough detail - there is a tapered seal on the plunger/piston thing. The fiche shows it there but not which way it faces. I am inclined to think it is on there...

This is a guess but I bet the two inner ports are for the oil pump, numbers one and two. The others are vents or something. Your pump outputs can be routed to either carb, I don't think it matters.
