I have a dyna 3 on my 1976 r/75, works great, no more points,( today's points are not like the old ones) the dyna is a solid unit.

I would replace the disk, if it had any oil , it will stay in the clutch disk forever, it soaks in and stays.?

I put the springs on the inside, in between the shoes and the final drive, works just fine ,and no rubbing, all good, Thanks

Did I do something wrong? Put in new rear shoes on a 1993 r100gs, bmw parts, and the springs rub inside the hub, I put the spring on the outside of the shoes ( like manual told) ? HELP

I have the same stand, I put a 3/4" piece of aluminum under it, Keeps the bike more up right, easy fix, much better than the stock side stand.

R100gs is a great bike, you do have a few maintenance items, but the are easy to do, they will run for many miles, if you don't abuse them . they feel great to ride, retain there value, or even go up...

I have a1993 r100gs. Had a the right side blinkers came on when the engine was running.Would not turn off.They worked perfectly when the engine was off, I changed the plug wires and now it works...

Brown's work very well. If it is a bit short ( not sure why it would be) take to a weld shop and get it extended. they are simple and work great , Don't cost much either.

Points are very simple, file / replace, ride, If you are going to put a electronic unit in, carry a set of points as a back up? They don't take up to much space.

Look for a Powermatic model 90.These are well built, can be picked up for a few hundred dollars. They were used in high school wood shops. Most are 3 phase power , a phase converter is a low dollar...

I picked up a 1993 r100r with 5300 original miles, mint, with a staintune exhaust, classic black for $5300.00 / ebay, nice bike !! came from a collector. I think I got lucky

R 65 bmws are nice bikes, they need more power, but.... sure run and run. fun in the corners. low dollar, great bikes, I have owned a few and had no problems at all. ( my 2 cents)

Mine did that to with the stock tires , Put some new tires on and it went away, ( pirelli ) the new tires work wonderful. Original tires are junk.
