Had a tough ride yesterday on LAB2V ( LA to Barstow 2Vegas). Had three flats on the rear.
1- picked up a nail. Just unlucky.
2- tore valve stem out of tube. Running 16 psi, evidently not enough...

FWIW- My brother's DRZ400 did this; backfired when you would let off the throttle. He had an air leak at the carb junction. Fixed this and backfire stopped.
