I'm sure rider and load both made a difference. The 08 KLR was the worst off tire wise and probably was weighed down the most of the group.

I don't think that is substantial though as the KLRs...

Mine was fixed under warrenty. Tell them to fix it and the brake seal recall at the same time. I have the letter from that one somewhere still. Never got one on the clacker but my dealer fixed it...

There are for sure times that it is worse then others. Seems like temp makes a big difference. Also do not touch the throttle as that seemed to make mine way worse. It is a warrenty issue though...

Never crashed into a riding buddy yet. I tend to ride with bikes that are quite a bit slower on the pass then mine (950 SM) so I can truely see how this could have happened.

I had mine replaced under warrenty in the US. I complained a whee bit when I got the bike about it waking up my neighbors and the dealer was more then happy to replace it under warrenty.
