Brought back memories of a solo trip to James Bay several years ago.

Got new rubber on the Dero and the wiring for the heated gear is installed.

Just read a review/ comparison between the Suzuki 1000 the BMW GS and the KTM 1190. They picked the KTM hands down. Go for it. :clap

As LittleMac says the lighthouse is a great trip and would be a good place to camp. On the way out there you could stop at the Inn in Meldrum Bay for great fish & chips. There is a campground there...

The Dero is a great bike but as said by others it's on the heavy side for any serious off road work. It takes a lot of skill and nerve to ride in sand. With the right rubber it loves gravel though....

No, the bike is back north hibernating for the winter. Riding in the sand and orange groves just doesn't do it for me. Too many pirates prowling the seas.

Take a look at the Trans Canada Adventure trail. Should keep you busy for at least a month. Runs from the East coast of Canada to the West coast.
