+ another 1 for the MOD skid plate - very solid. The Twallcom option also looks pretty damn tough, bit more $. Hope the long term fix happens soon :clap

OK, I don't want to get mired in the mud slinging here, but just want to state what has happened with this issue in my particular case. (I love the bike, BMW is great, engineers are people too, etc....

Amazingly, Fastenal does not have anything that will work - they top out at 80mm and the guy had "no idea" where I could get anything like that in the states. :huh...
