A good idea is replacing all M8 valve bridge screws that are quoted 18Nm torque, the bolts with the larger head. They are easily damaged at the alen recess.

There is a new #No for a new oil filter.

So let's see what KTM is going to do about it. If anybody has an open channel with KTM headquartes, maybe it is time to pull some strings.

Great work.

In a decade from now, the whole bike will be copied from riders, most of its components, all over the world, cheaper than in the factory. Globalization at its best.
Cheers.

+1 for the antigravity.

I own the XP-1 model. Used it for 2 weels, almost everyday, since my battery was completely flat. It couldn't hold charge for 8-10 hours, after riding.
Very usefull for adventure rides.

You say you can blow air through A easily. That means A is letting air in easily but restricts vapours keeping the tank pressurized and liquid ( my understanding) in case the bike takes a nap.

The video is at the right tank, right?

There is an exhaust passing very close to the right hand tank. This doesn't help.
Clogged fuel filters give the fuel pump a hard time, heating up fuel at the LH tank, so both get hot.
Cheers.

Should be TPS adjustment. You need to adjust it with trial and error, not 0.55V is good for all, Rottweiller filter needs higher TPS voltage. If it changes when adjusted, could even be worn. What is...

My question regards the heat output of the led

Isn't the rubber blocking the ventilation of the led? Isn't that warming the area too much?
Isn't the cooling air bringing in too much dust?

The voltages reported are correct but 0.62 is good for warm engine. OTOH these voltage readings are not to be taken too strictly. It can be needed a higher voltage for the ITG foam filter. I was...

I would prefer the excessive welding material smoothened out.

The difference in steel thickness could create stress due to local difference in expansion. Just my $0.02 as an engeneering mind but not expert by any means. Cheers.

Got it welded. Lasts 50k kms till now, almost as much as the factoty new item. So it may be longer lasting than the OEM parts.

There are reports on chain tensioners loosing oil pressure.

That reflects on oil pressure in the hole system and the safety oil pressure light warns us. That is all normal. Replacing oil chain tensioners would eliminate oil pressure loss.

What is a BGC?
Seems your waterpump needs new oring seal. The cheap solution should fix you up.
From your profile, seems you own a 990. Could be fuel supply? I would start with filters.

I would recommend updating some parts with 990 parts. One could be the gearchange drum or waterpump from the late 990s.

One more thing that usually gets overlooked.

The 990s use different sidestand sensor. The 950 ss does plug in the 990 engine but engine does not run. You will need to keep the 950 ss sensor.

You could install after '09 impeller, cooler pump and axle to update the system to RC8...
