Same problem here. My dealer replaced the entire FD under warranty. Apparently replacing the seal is more involved than it would seem.

update

Took the bike to the dealer. They will replace the entire FD unit under warranty (30,000 miles, 1 year). Still not sure where the leak is coming from, but I'll find out and post.

Last week it happened to me. The left panel snapped off at 80 mph hitting me in the knee. I checked the fasteners before the ride, so it had to have been the strong side gust that yanked it off....

Gerbings heated gloves are great. Not bulky and toasty in even the coldest weather. Did multi-day 800+ mile riding in 30 degree weather and was always comfortable.
