Put a washer that just fits over the barb onto it...

Put a washer that just fits over the barb onto it before the fuel line. This way in the future when you need to remove the fuel line from the barb you will be able to.

Yep, agree with the above...the fuel in the tank is more desireable than the bike. Well, maybe a KLR owner might want the engine if he knew the doohicky was fixed and it wasn't an '08 oil burner....
