It's not a recall. Triumph issued a tech bulletin that says if a customer complains of noise and the bike is in the affected VIN range the dealer is authorized to do the head replacement.

Checks the cam timing relative to the crank and to each other. It's not hard to do once you get the tank and valve cover off. I used a 15/64 drill for the tool that positions the crank properly.

At 12,000 miles I went in an did the cam timing adjust thing. They were off a little. While the tank and airbow were off I went ahead and replaced the air filter and plugs. They didn't really need it.
