When I purchased my Dyna it came without a mounting bracket so I made one but choose to use the outer hole on the coil thus allowing more clearance for the electrical connectors.

Dyna coils have a good reputation but some will fail. I had a brown coil go higher resistance after warming up. Rick replaced asap. Good reason to do business with him.

I suspect that when the head heats up and expands the clearance increases. Even so, its alway good practice to make sure the rockers are not binding after adjustment by backing off the adjusting lock...
