After 3 and 1/2 years...replace the battery. Motorcycle batteries are typically good for 4 - 5 years max. Why worry about a sudden failure when you can spend $80 and eliminate the problem?

All I can add is that 150 miles is not enough to break in any seat. I would suggest at least a 1000 miles. I have a Sargent and love it.
