My 2007 has this

Staintune can and Keihan headers work well without all the noise, just a slightly throaty rumble. Unless your on full throttle then it screams a bit.

That's what I have and like. It has the crosspipe as well, in stainless with a 10 year warranty @ $490 shipped. A one piece design too.

NAPA #04233 does fit the GS

Yes the NAPA belt does work. I just changed mine on a 2007 GS1200. NAPA
#040233 is correct. Mine looked good at 29,800 miles. The original seemed more stretchy, not sure if it's the wear or rubber....

I have a 2007 GS which now has the following: Keihan headers, Staintune can, high flow airfilter from Atlanta BMW and a Techlusion fuelbox. The headers added midrange and top end performance....

Akrapovic seems to be well liked here, the muffler will slip in the clamp as it heats and cools. This will cause some scuffing on the surface I'm told. I too am looking at cans trying to decide.

I lowered my oil level after a short ride as per the update and had an air pressure build up that released when the drain plug was removed. I'm thinking the seals are more apt to leak from this...
