Yes, if you weld it or have it welded that would be the way to go. As a welder, I would weld a piece of 1/8" plate to the bottom (outside) and then weld the crack on the inside. Re-drill the holds...

Yes..the first time I did loop off the free way and had it leaned over I thought something was wrong. The second time I went a bit slower and the corner was way less mushy!

Ah yes, the Powerlet is a cool setup. I like the simpilicity of using the maintainer cord/harness for the bag as well. The more wires we run the more chance of things going wrong, shorts, fuses etc....
