It comes from yellow wire at the headlight as per the instructions. This wire is not hot till you start the motor. I agree there is too much load somewhere. I also tucked my wires up into that...

I think I have a solution. Borrow a "trailer in a bag" from a friend. That way on the return, we can throw the trailer in the back of the van. They are rated for 1000lbs.

someone makes some go-no gauges, but i usually do a .006 and a .008 for example as a go-no. I can't remember what the figures are, but just go up .002 for the no-go.
