For those people that have removed the SAS system from there bikes & fitted rubber cap to the outlets. Check them regularly. This has done no more than 2000Klm....

I agree Mezcal, I dont think the tabs need to be bent down that much at the front. The pressure on the front of the filter must be 3 time that of the rear.

No spring. Foam is pretty thick on the base so i dont think you would get it much smaller. As far as washing it goes, i have no idea. Its only done one ride & i haven't washed it as yet.

Hdog, There is better places to place a filter than where EL Plonko has his. A metal bodied filter right next to the exhaust pipe is just asking for a fuel vapor lock.
