yes you guys in TBay are getting screwed for gas. Saw one station over $1.40. Went up here but just to $1.32. Thank goodness it is summer and the KLR gets 65mpg!

Feel your pain. I had rode some motocross years ago and wiped quite a few times, but remember my worst accident was running dirt bikes north of town along some sand dunes near the ear falls rail line...

I sewed an elastic strap to mine and just pull it onto the "horn" of the saddle. Otherwise when you stand up it blows into a fold and you have to stop or adjust it on the fly

Sure it is doable but why? At speed limit it is 11-12 hrs saddle time if the weather is good. Daylight should not be a big problem, but watch for wildlife. Lots of bison and bears between Ft Nelson...

Had them on my KLR and put over 14,000 km (9000 miles?) on my rear including lots of gravel a 7000k (4500 miles?) slab trip to Yellowstone.

The front has 20,000k (12000 miles)...
