Oz, see if the dealer has or will give you service bulletins related to this, regardless of what they do on the repair/replace - if you have a good dealer relationship the info should be easy to get....

I'M with Jim regarding the farkles for selling my rides, coming from Harley the farkles are inevitable for comfort and usability and I don't strip them off when I sell.
