Might as well remove the upper chain roller now. I have a big hole in the frame where it was and should cover it with more than just duct tape. I'll post a picture when I get around to it.

I've used both the Shinko 700 and 705. Both good tires. The 700 is much better in the dirt and sand while still good on the street. Rear is good for about 2500 miles. Since the 700 rear, I've used up...

Aerostich warmbib

The Aerostich warmbib works very well. Too hot actually. I had to go back and buy their thermostat to reduce the amount of heat. Aerostich has some heated wraps that go over your grips that work...

Tires - D606 130/90

Gazco asked about how the D606 130/90-17 fits the DR. It's fine on the road, gravel and sand but tire rubs the swingarm when I'm in the woops. I'll go back to the recommended 120/90 next time.

Master link

Last year my chain came off at 70MPH as the clip came off. No damage to me or the bike but I'm told that it could have been painful. I'll stick to permanent rivets from now on thank you.

JoefromSF -- I really like my DirtBagz. They hold up well. They are not water proof though, so I put gear in trash bags if rain is expected.
