I don't understand the fixation of seeing additional lights from front on. I want more lights not to be seen, but to see what is up ahead so I can react. Not having to rely on someone in a car etc....

You might try ringing PIHA in Perth as they do a heap of poly work around some of the mines I've worked on. Mainly with butt weld machines but they may also do it by hand:rofl...
