With the ignition on, disconnect the wires going to the thermostat and touch them together. The fan should go on. If it does, use an ohm meter on the thermostat to see if it's internal switch works...

Check your sprocket alignment. BUT... the XCF-W doesn't even come with this guard. And the guard doesn't fit with a TM design works lower chain guide. So I just took mine off.
