I would prefer a 4-port but would certainly take a 2-port if that's the only one available.

On an XS1100 I had I used Plastidip, the stuff you put on the handles of tools. I brushed it on and let it set. It's fuel resistant and lasts well. Doesn't do anything to soften them but helps...
