AKI is octane

that is a myth. iow's, 87,89,91-94 octane is all same fuel. so, the flame speed is the same. the only difference is in the anti-knock-index (AKI) AKI is octane.

you may want to use regular automotive grade fuel with the highest AKI rating. that is, if you're not already doing so. i get a couple more mpg using 93 octane vs 87 octane.
