Well, it seems that my tires weren't in as good shape as I thought. Once the bike was on the lift for service I saw the middle of the rear tire was worn pretty flat and the front wasn't too great...

Took bike in yesterday for cruise control fix. Turns out it wasn't the switch, instead problem was with the throttle. Replaced throttle assembly and things worked perfectly. Hope it holds up...
