Put Shinko 705 on 800xc 3 months ago, they are fine on dry pavement as long as you are not aggressive but the spin easily if you accelerate quickly. On dirt they are junk as soon as you lean them...

I just received the recall on the starter, once warm mine will not start unless in neutral and ignition has shut down (headlight/speedo), it acts like there is not enough power in the starter motor....

I was able to find Spectrol 10w-50 so thats what went in, rather pricy at $16 qt. The bike has a drain plug with magnet which had a little black on it. I'm guessing typical breakin no metal shavings....
