No help here

Going north could turn ugly because of weather.
But, where ever, the good thing is you'll be going before tourist season.
It will be great, have fun.

Good stuff guys

If you go deep, have shelter, water, food. Then hope you don't have to spend a day or two out there.
It's best to not go deep when you're along. But I'll admit to have done it.

Apparently you do not want to understand. My grips are too hot on low. Having a rheostat type of controller would make them perfect.

If you're concerned about staying warm

After almost 50 years of riding, I started using a heated liner. Couldn't be happier. It also reduces the total amount of bulk needed to stay warm.

I am not paying $60+ for special skivies.
They might want to try going for quantity/volume of sales instead.
There must be a lot of money on this site.

Great suggestions/Nice route

Decide your must see into 2/3s of time available. Allow 1/3 for changes that will become apparent.

Avoid I-5, it gets hot in the valley.

Plenty to choose from out there

I won't buy anymore gloves that aren't lined. If they have a lining they're easier to get back on in warm weather & are a lot less apt to stain your hand.

Just a thought.

I wasn't happy with the seat as original, so I had it modified, with more padding. This slightly changed the seat/peg relationship.
I wouldn't wait too long to update the h/light harness.

Another thought

Is it possible you are wearing a boot size XX when you really need a XXX? Too tight of a boot = cold toes.
I like Merino wool, but you may be a candidate for electric socks.

There is a low pressure area behind a moving vehicle, car, bike, etc. It will hold some of the exhaust fumes. I wouldn't think of subjecting my dog to that pocket of carbon monoxide.
