I did that too. I think those screws are 5mm. Very easy to strip if you are in a hurry and don't make sure the driver is fully seated before you start turning. I think they're made of butter too.

Sounds like you're doing it right. Pull down the orange tab, pinch the blue buttons on each side and pull it straight off.

Helps to have small fingers to press the buttons.
