Update

Well i have decided to install an xr650 swingarm, shock, and linkage..soo its all put back together for now till I can get the parts together. In the mean time, I'm still riding it to save gas!

You sure? Mine was cracked and they ordered one from Germany and when it came in had it replaced in one hour flat. I've taken my tank out of subframe twice, I've never seen a "cover.

f800gs for fast offroad=NO. the frame will bend on them, its not this or that batch. ALL of them will bend. BUT, you have to be hauling an extreme amount of weight or getting big air to bend it....

i could take that $5k motorcycle with the moab shock down any trail, fully loaded for 10+ days of camping, get air with gear and all, and nothing ever bent on it. try that on a $11k f800 with no gear...

Heck I am coming from a dirt bike, and i still dont have anything to complain about ( besides suspension ). It is so well balanced with a low center of gravity that it doesnt really feel heavy at all...

Bmw parallel twins are wonderful road bikes. But in stock form, they dont belong on on any terrain a pickup couldn't navigate at 5 miles an hour without costly upgrades to suspension and rear shock...

yeah iv welded on the frame already, all i did was take battery out, but when and if i do this mod itll be stripped completely, with rear sub frame, tank, air box, battery, and rear abs lines...
