TAT is much farther south than Soldier Summit. The UTBDR passes not far from there. If a rider was getting low on fuel, it would make sense for them to do an out and back to Soldier Summit for fuel.

Blown fuse

Problem solved. Insulation worn off of wire against one of the brackets for his Touratech tank. Still doesn't explain why I occasionally blow a fuse. I'll buy a dozen just to have on hand though....
