Wicked Telelever and cuppine

My understanding is that the braking forces from the Telelever cause tire cupping. It's the trade-off for the anti-diving properties. Perhaps the reason why some riders don't get cupping has to do...

I've got an 84 twin shock R65 and I have a question: Does anyone know if the airhead GS tank will fit the R65? It looks like it'll go right on, but don't know for sure.

Fuel pump noise

Thanks for the tip on opening the gas cap. I have a GS 1150, and I just changed the fuel filter, and after a long trip, it has started making the servo whine. I'm pretty sure it's the fuel pump,...

Wicked Time flies

It's funny how one year, the amount of time required between brake fluid changes, turns into two years, then three, then to "I think the shop did it last time I was in." Well, OK, maybe it's not...

Talking secrets to my success

OK, here we go, the end of the thread. I've got the ABS working again. Here's the steps I went through.

1. Reset ABS lights myself. Didn't work.
2. Went to dealer. Dealer reset ABS lights. Didn't...

Bluhduh stupid me

Here's the latest update on my efforts to get the ABS working. No. 1: the black tape over the flashing lights does wonders for taking this off your mind while you're riding. No. 2: I bought all the...

Well gang, I got close. Took the GS to the shop today, and was in and out in less than an hour and only $88 lighter. They said one of the valves in the ABS pump must have been stuck. Started it up,...

as long as they get the whine to stop

the blinking lights don't bug me. It's the noise coming from the pump. I used to drive it with the ABS off all the time, until it saved my ass one day in the rain. But I can live without it.

Thanks for the quick replies, beemerphiles. The boneyard and the module repair are great tips. Hopefully, it will be simpler than replacing the ABS module, but at least these two options...
