I'd go with the helmet mount, your whole body acts as a shock absorber/stabilizer plus the camera gets aimed at what you look at. I've used this set up with great results,

I have a 2009 Roadglide with a Cee Baileys euro style screen, I'm 6' and turbulence is now non existent. I believe I bought the 17" lipped model those low ones arent worth shit.

Do yourself a favor and take a look at the Honda XR650L, It's a bulletproof design and half the cost of a bmw. I too drank the bavarian water, and pissed it out pretty quick.

I just went to install a new 3" over windshield on the roadglide and found two nice big slashes on it upon removing it from the celophane, the holes for the 5 mounting screws don't even come close to...
