Had the same trouble from memory. Maybe try to remove front wheel and loosen lower clamps and try to wriggle each fork up seperately. May of even used a screwdriver to wedge open the upper clamps...

Got a clutch question. The one different clutch plate (the black one) does it go bike side of the basket or on the outside. Fiche shows it on the inside but mine was on the outside. Thanks.

Some suggest using lower torque and loctite for the lower bolt as its into alloy as opposed to steel like the upper bolt. I would like to hear the fix. Hope it doesn't hurt too much.
