I have had one on mine since new and only changed filters at 30,000ks they were stained but still looked ok, replaced with gefr filters and carry a spare set on long outback trips just in case.

Nothing wrong with unifilters as long they are maintained and oiled properly, some grease around the filter to help it seal against the air box. Route the breathers from the carb up into the air...

I would highly recommend sidestand relocator, even with a B&B bash plate my brother did both cases from taking a knock on the sidestand after casing out.
Cheap insurance IMO.
