Anti-roll modifications on R1150GS

I've read through this post and believe my outfit could benefit from anti-roll bars of some sort.

Eager to learn if GS owners have ever fitted them and if so whether they could post...

So that's what an Electra looks like ...

Glad to discover this reference to an Electra. I thought I had one as the nose of mine looked to be modified ie to fill in where a windscreen once was.

BMW 1100GS vs 1150GS final drive gear set swap

I did this very same modification last week.

I had a allen-key (socket drive) and a heat gun that pumps out enough heat to make the screwed in axles come out easily.

Found the change very easy...

How to fit a sidecar to the left hand side of a GS

I started this project with only a sidecar body, a single Koni shock-absorber and some steel.

Made good progress this week-end.

Will not be long before I'll...

How to fit a sidecar to the left hand side of a GS

Riding two-up is great fun but there's not a lot of room for those big maps.

Our new project is to fit a what I think is a Southern Cross Electra sidecar to my 2002 R1150GS.

To view my attempt...

Question Can't take it with you but ...

It's been a long time since I've had a flat tyre.

Could have benefited from the practice of fixing it myself but decided to remove the wheel of my R1150GS and take it to one of the few bike shops...

Tyre available in Australia

Really surprised by the responses I received from the big tyre franchises when I asked for tyre to fit my 15" 4J rim.

... left them all feeling like I had a disease

Buying on the internet...

It's a different story in Australia

I find it really interesting reading about your experiences while trying to fit car tyres to your R1150s

I'm about to go down the same path but before I put in all the effort in making the...

Hats off to the guys at Sargent Cycle Products.

Thanks so much to Bill at SCP.

He helped restore my seat to it's former glory.

My situation is a bit tricky as I live in Australia, a long way away from Sargent HQ.

I'd recommend these folk...

Tyres for an R1150GS

My last two sets of tyres for my GS have been Metzler Tourances.

Where I'm living at the moment I cannot easily source Tourances but I can source Pirellis ... Pirelli Scorpion S/T 90s to be...

R1150GS Sargent seat - am I the only one?

I'm probably not as excitable (read full-on R1150GS riders) as some readers and so was surprised when my Sargent pan failed. Certainly out of warranty ~ 6 years and 20000 miles but disappointed...

Eek Great Mod but ....

At one point I was considering Jay’s lower bridge but I went another way and have used the Dedome mod to ease the steering effort on my R1100GS rig.

How to reduce the trail...

I've been down this path too!

I rebuit a Premier sidecar chassis and made a series of mounts that allowed me to "bolt-on" the sidecar. I consider there to be some improvements over the old design. Used a trailer plug to allow...
