Well, if it is going into gear and clutch is engaging as in, not hung open, there's only a few things it could be. A) the nut came off the countershaft spocket B) the woodruff key under the crank...

if that is rust, then unlikely. it knocked the plating off. there are places that can rechrome the tubes or buy new/used.:cry

to me, the xd4 fits just like the large rf1000 i had vice the 1100 that is more oval. i really like the xd4 for my dirt...
