Been using Triflow for 20+ years and it works great. You do not need a lot. I use electronics spray cleaner available at Radio Shack or auto parts stores. It evaporates fast and leaves no residue.

slow throttle

You should get a slow progression throttle if you do not already have one. It will slow down throttle action giving you more control especially just off idle.

piston seal binding

I had a problem with a caliper not releasing after applying the brakes.

I pumped the piston out and pried out the seal and it had so much corrosion inside the groove it was locking up my back...

Lube it then seal he ends with RTV & tape. I had a spare routed and zip tied to the installed cable for about 25 years on my Honda 750. Of course I never needed it.

You scooped a good bike. Its an unstoppable tractor, will pull you up and over anything. I've had my 96 JTR for 3 years and couldn't be happier with it as my 1st trials bike.
