The manufacturers offer their bikes for sale. If you don't...

same experience

I went from R1200gs to a 650 x-challenge so I could learn to ride off-road. (140kg dry weight) A lot comes down to confidence. For me, that came down to practice.
Once I found out how hard I could...

Limit

Sound like a good idea. Note that the GS911 is licensed to 10 VIN numbers. So someone would have to be willing to drop 1.
I think road side assistance does not effect your licenses. But doing the...

93,000

I have about 93,000km on it now. (Roughly)
I don't have the service history. The rental company did their own servicing and they did not give me the original owners manual.
I know they had the...

Pirelli and Shinko

My F800GS came with Torrance tyres. Nice on road but not very nice in the gravel. (For me anyway)

I changed the front to Pirelli MT 90 A/T. Very stable in Gravel. I have done some reasonable...

Maybe because this is a relatively small country. But the Local, New Zealand, BMW dealer gives good support. The original local dealer was pretty good.
When bmw moved to another dealership I was...

That sort of behavior is not legal here in New Zealand.

Also: my F800GS was high mileage ex-rental which I purchased with 90,000km on it. It runs like a dream. the only fault I have had is with...

Should not effect warranty.

You own the motorcycle. You can do whatever you want so long as you don't break it.
Some dealers are upset about use of the GS-911 where it has been used to reset an error for a fault that has not...

For the 1200 the nut is "micro encapsulated". (Like built in loctite) and...

I rebuilt a crashed r1200gs and know the front end well.
If you knocked the ball joint loose by a bump then it is likely that have damaged the threads.
Tightening it up is not a proper fix.
