If it isn't an issue with the headlight unit then why BMW had revamp the headlight fr CEV to HELLA. Certainly they must have realize the problem of a burn reflector. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah the low beam cover will go back on with no issue. But the highbeam cover won't fit back in. Look for post#753 and #1015

Hi, just to share. I do have that problem at first due to unfamiliar abt the installation procedure. If yurs is H7 , you have to remove the ring bracket in order to install the LED bulb. Below pics...

The different between them is the way the chrome reflector and the rear cap they used.

BMW :thumb Can share whether the replacement is a new model like the 2014 adv or the same old design. If it the same old design then it will happen again using the oem bulb.

Yeah. BMW F800gs / F650gs / F700gs Has different headlight unit though it look similar to 1200gs. The BMW F800gs / F650gs / F700gs Highbeam cover size is relatively smaller as compare to the 1200gs...

In the meantime , I'm running without the rear cap. Will cover up if it rain. Since it the only option for me now. Im happy with the throw of the light n it awesomely bright!!!...
