My 2011 was lowered by 3/4 inch. I couldn't believe how much difference 3/4 inch made when I put the stock wheels back on with my 30 inch inseam.

According to the article, the KLR weighs 60 lbs less than the KTM. My older KLR weighs less than the new ones. Try picking them both up and see whether you think there's much difference in weight....
