Get a piece of 1/8 aluminum, hack saw, 2 or 3 stainless smallesh screws and nuts and make the sidestand foot bigger. Fun easy project and adds very,very little weight.

Get a toggle switch at the auto parts store or RadioShack and use a rubber boot from Fry's or electonic store. I usually cut off the tip as it makes it switch easier and still keeps the H2O out.
