It is more than just weight, A larger bike like a ST1300 ( I have one too) really gets you through the miles on the slab, is a great commuter for mid and long commutes and fantastic in foul weather....

6'4' and 34' inseam. Honda ST1300 and ST1000 are both very good fits for me. Great on the highway as well. Solid ride with plenty of power.
