That's what I measured the oil temp at when mine felt hot, a couple years ago. I had just changed out the FD (went with lower gearing) & thought the 'new' FD felt warmer than the stock I had removed....

I stopped replacing the lense, just use superglue and clear packing tape to hold it togeter, until it's too badly crushed to re-use! I actually have a pair of identically jerry-rigged 'spares'.
