No, it's just a scratch mark. The cracking only happens on the bottom bolt hole. I didn't use lock washers, just flats and plenty of blue Lock-tite.

What I'd like to do is get rid of the brake line crossover and run 2 seperate lines down the forks and then use a high mounted, dirt bike plastic fender. Nothing but $$ holding me back!

Front fender breaking, again!

The front fender on my '12 XC is cracking at the mounting hole where the reflector bolts on. The dealer covered the first one under warranty, assuming over tightening caused it. Now it's cracking...

Sorry, no pics, but on my FJR, I have it mounted on top of the brake resovoir with "Dual Lock" (kind of like heavy duty velcro). Been on since '08 and never came loose and always get a good signal.

Here's a simple mount (that took me about 10 hours to make!) for a 1 gallon Roto-Pax behind the left Givi bag frame. Fits pretty tight so there shouldn't be much vibration to break the L-brackets...
