In all honesty I wouldn't worry about the heat shield or socks but I would get your daughter a good pair of above the ankle motorcycle boots. A much better investment.

The warranty on an F800 goes with the bike. It is 3 years from the original purchase date. Any dealer can access the info via the VIN#. Should be no issues here.
