Fair enough. Didn't mean to sound cocky. I've ridden that road a number of times, all on street bikes, and it has never been anything that bad. I don't think I've ever ridden it early in the season...

Seems fairly easy. Put a SPDT relay between 12v and each light (or lights that share the same +). Pin 30 comes from the 12v, pin 87a goes to the light(s). Pin 85 goes to ground. Pin 86 on all relays...

I've gotten 34k out of a chain on the Hayabusa (Stock RK GB530GXW). Other chains I've gotten less than 15k out of (EK ZZZ for example. So many variables, there is no real answer.

Yes. Some examples - ABS, CPVC, Polypropylene, EPDM, Styrene are poor choices for gas. PVC is OK at lower temps if you needed some tubing in an emergency.

+1 on the Clarity Defog-It. It's a bit pricey for a little bottle, but you don't need a lot. For glasses, just a drop on each lens and buff it in . It's the best product I've ever used for fogging....
